Job Title: Part-Time Custodian Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Custodian. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities during non-peak hours, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities:

      Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.

                   Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.

                    Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.

                    Wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, chairs, and countertops.

                    Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer.

      Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing minor damages.

      Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.

      Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment.

      Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns to the appropriate authorities.

      Work independently and efficiently to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.

      Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.

                    Adhere to all school policies and procedures related to custodial services.

Requirements:

                 High school diploma or equivalent.

                   Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred but not required.

                    Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.

                   Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

      Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift moderate-weight objects.

                  Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.

                            Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with others.

                  Flexibility to work evening or weekend shifts as needed.

                  Reliable transportation to and from the school location.

      Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all occupants of the school.
