Job Title: School Maintenance Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a School Maintenance Worker. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the upkeep, cleanliness, and functionality of our school facilities, grounds, creating a safe and conducive environment for students, teachers, and

staff.

Responsibilities:

      Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and minor structural repairs.

      Conduct inspections of school buildings and grounds to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.

      Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.

              Assist in debris removal, landscaping, and grounds keeping activities as needed.

      Respond to maintenance requests from teachers, staff, and administrators in a timely manner.

              Helps to maintain the school district grounds

      Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.

               Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling chemicals, equipment, and machinery.

      Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete larger projects or tasks efficiently.

      Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and report any safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.

      Provide assistance during special events or emergencies, including setup, cleanup, and facility maintenance.

Requirements:

              High school diploma or equivalent.

              Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in an educational setting.

      Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

              Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

              Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

              Excellent time management and organizational skills.

              Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.

      Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff.

              Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.

              Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
